Hello all,
I have a 1990 C4 with the Ride Control option. It has not worked for several years and I want to replace the shocks with some decent ones. Any suggestions?

I work in Germany and have an APO address. So I will need a vendor who can ship there.
Hello,
I recently replaced my selective ride shocks on my '91 with single adjust QA1s. Compared to the original Bilstein, of which the fronts I could not find anywhere, the car rides much better. I went with the single adjust because I mostly drive the car on the street on sunny weekend days to a car show, to a local cruise-in, to a weekend event such as Corvettes at Carlisle, or on a seldom occasion to Watkins Glen on the track. I have the options, of course, with the adjusting ability. And the adjustments do make a difference. Whereas I could never tell any difference with the Bilstein, even though the car had 10k ms on it when I bought it in 2001. I really like the QA1s...so far, time will tell. Good luck with your decision.

I don't know if either business is still a going concern but I thought the Bilsteins were worth rebuilding.

Thanks for the info all. I had someone here check out the system and he believed it to be the system. He recommended to replace the shocks with some really good ones that were not ride control. I am a little at a disadvantage here in Germany as good mechanics that know about the C4 are very hard to find. When I find a mechanic that is decent, their work schedule is not like we have in the states. So not only difficult to get parts but it takes a long time to get stuff done.
