I have parked Annie since the big trip home.  I am still waiting for the ("Collector plates"); apparently Washington state is several months behind catching up on plate production.  But since I put nearly 3700 miles on it without raising an eyebrow, I might be okay for a few more months!  Tomorrow I bring Annie into class, where I will have it demonstrate the EGR "Roto-Rooter" thing.  It has an issue (32 Code) that probably is caused by a clogged EGR valve OR the passages for the re-routed "inert" stuff the EGR plays with mostly during cruise phases.  I saw that the throttle plates look remarkably clean on the forward side, but the rest?  I really don't know what to expect - we'll know tomorrow!  I will take photos of our progress, and also replace the "cat back" portion of my exhaust before I drive Annie back home.  I have been patiently waiting until I can use the college's lifts, so this will really be the first time I've inspected the underside of the car.   I will do the 100000 miles maintenance stuff next as I am nearing that milestone, then my attention will be the new upholstery and detail work for the new season.  Once I am convinced that I dealt with the EGR and tune up issues, I have that new 52 mm. BBK throttle body ready to install and I will do a performance comparison.  I really want to go to Carlisle this year!

Very cool!

I hope you can make it to Carlisle too!  If you do, make sure to come find me at the C3VR/C4VR/C6VR booth under the grandstand!

We didn't do the Roto-Rooter thing yet, but at least I installed the exhaust, cat-back.  Took about 1 1/2 hours thanks to the lift at school.  As this was really my first chance to view the car from underneath, I was relieved to see that this issue is about all I have with the car -- the rest of the exhaust looks solid and I was also relieved that the "slightly louder than OEM" was just that -- slightly.  I am glad I'm not dealing with those holes anymore!  My second photo shows what I saw when I crouched down in Charlotte and noted those holes.  Like I said, thankfully my suitcase soaked up all of that racket.  My "sqwauk list" is slowly but gradually being addressed.  I hope to address that 32 Code next.

In case you wondered, the components were Walker Sound FX.
