Cleaning the wheel wells is part of my routine when I detail my vette in the spring and fall. I use a general degreaser, lots of scrubbing followed by a good coating of CRC heavy duty silicone. In the past, they would look good for about a month and then slowly fade back to looking kinda dingy. This last spring I used GoJo hand cleaner instead of degreaser and they still look like I did them yesterday (smelled good for a couple of days too lol). I got the idea while washing my hands with the stuff and thought since it's such a good cleaner but doesn't dry stuff out it might work well on plastic. Just call me crazy, my wife does

There's been numerous detailing discussions over the years and you can either do some searching on the site or just start a new thread when you're ready to clean and buff - starting a new topic might be ideal for this since we all devise our own ways
