Shocked Wait...whut?!?!? Yer s'posed to CLEAN the suspension stuff TOO?!?

LOL

Aluminuminum wheel cleaners work pretty well...just be sure to follow the directions. If left on too long, they can discolor the parts.

if real dirty and have been neglected for long, spray type brake cleaner will remove a lot of the crud.

I agree with Caledonia. I have read elsewhere about brake cleaner for aluminum. Also mentioned was to remove it after no more than 10 minutes of application. I would try 5 or 6 minutes first, until you can judge how aggressive it works. I would also cover anything you don't want ruined, like body paint near where you use it!

I use Nevr-dull, mothers Aluminum polish and lots and lots of patience.  The results will vary based on how badly oxidized your parts are.
