Here's a problem for those of us who have both a C4 and a C5: I can "swing" the targa in a C5 storage bracket quite a bit, and I accidently forgot that difference and broke the targa in my C4. I broke a small corner from the top, which I used JB Weld to reattach. My roof, though, is checked and needs replacement anyway. I have been patient trolling the websites but haven't found the correct roof yet. I have a friend with a nearly new targa, but from a late C4 -- "Annie's" a 1988 model. I have read a couple of times, but without any confirmation, that there's a chance that a guy can switch the brackets around and get a non-compatible roof to match up to the car with "conversion brackets". Right now, I am finally seeing new lenses listed on eBay that match pricing I was used to seeing (recently they were about twice what they used to be, so this listing $400 shipped seems great). Is there a source I can check to determine the bracket switching process? Otherwise I am going to buy that lens, but I think it might be wise to wait until USPS has dealt with the Christmas rush before I have the lens put into the system!
Wow! Thank you Chevy kid. Just what I was looking for. Clears up all of the confusion. Decision time now! Thanks again.
Good luck! Keep us posted on the results.

For info on the targa brackets for the C4 try http://astrotops.com. They also sell them. They’ve been very helpful to me.
